Pros

Fun atmosphere, hard work but excellent clientele, constantly busy, nice layout

Cons

Extremely long hours, corporate is a JOKE, they don't care one bit about their employees, they don't care whats wrong with you, as long as you're at work. Communication between management and coporate is terrible. You have to tell ALL of the people that are over you, otherwise not everyone is informed. Working there is like the gameshow "Big Brother" pretty much. If you are actually looking for a "career" don't go here. Unless you enjoy faking it until you make it, kissing the ground undeserving people walk on, and making yourself look like a barbie. Also, you are an "independant contractor" but yet, you work a set schedule, and if you "call off" you can possibly get fired.

Pros

Meet a couple really nice ladies

Cons

Cooperate lies to the stylists, long shifts, unprofessional, untrained managers, lack of organization within the shops, inconsistency from the head of company down. I opened a shop in Overland Park Kansas,(against my gut instinct ) being told by the manager how wonderful the company was, how much money I would be making , how we as stylist would only have to work shifts we wanted to work ans none other). They did not have the salon put together on opening day, and did not have proper licensing required by the state of Kansas. Several fines were issued on that day.... several cooperate employees running around not doing much of anything really 3 of them having never worked in a salon atmosphere. The state board comes in, fines every stylist that is working on opening day, we are asked to stay on and work the shift, being told by several cooperate people that any and all fines will be paid by the company.....8 months later, ( I no longer after all the red tape is processed, I receive a letter stating I owe $500. I call the salon, I email the cooperate office, NO RESPONSE!! I am in the process of taking them to small claims court. The company only cares about making money, they have no integrity, no regard for rules of each individual state, no real organization with in the company. I met several employees who were not happy working for them.

Pros

Fast easy money but still not enough to pay bills at 40% it's actually 37% because you have to pay credit card fees.

Cons

Corporate is running people out of here. They do shady stuff and mistreat hard workers and keep the girls who don't show up for work and do drugs on the schedule they want. No real experience being in charge. The worst company I've ever worked for!
