DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

Staff is friendly and interacting with patients and hearing their life stories makes your job worth it. Benefits are good and incentive pay is great. But be careful not to work too much because you will burn yourself out. Plus, pay is not always right with your incentives and when you ask about, they don't change it to correct it so most of the time, you aren't getting incentive pay anyways.

Cons

Management is terrible. Don't support staff on the floor. Always short staffed. People only work here for the incentives. Management gives you a hard time when you are injured on the job and applying for medical leave. They claim the cameras never saw you get hurt even though you could have bruises and bleeding all over you. No security. Training is limited when it comes to restrictive interventions. After restraining a patient, there is no debrief. You are just expected to jump right up and keep working even when you are on 1:1 observation with the patient. They may be trying to punch you at every chance but management doesn't care and won't move you away from the patient because "it is part of your job responsibility". Very limited promotions.

Pros

Workers generally are kind to one another in all areas; nursing, bha, dietary, management, grounds, cleaning staff. I love the culture of staff support. Most(but not all, ) management nurses will help on the floors during difficult days or short staffing. Great insurance and 401k seems good.

Cons

Struggling with staffing...same everywhere though. Some management issues but they seem to be trying.
