Pros

I was able to move up within the company pretty easily and I did learn a good amount within leasing and marketing.

Cons

There is no such thing as work/life balance. They will try and get every ounce of work out of you for as little pay as possible. They do not pay their employees well and have no plans to fix this. When you reach out to corporate nothing gets done and half of them do not know what they are doing. The mission statement is so important during an interview but half of corporate barely knows it. I have watched staff members and corporate members put their judgment and morals aside for the money. While I realize a lot of people will write these reviews out of anger I am writing this with the intent that people research this company before taking a job here. I hope that management finds this review and they open their eyes are finally give value to their employees and treat EVERYONE equally.

Disorganized and Overrated

Pros

The opportunity to move up Is high but that is due to the high turnover rate with on-site positions.

Cons

The problem is they try to do a lot with nothing. They put so much into Construction and recently entered in property management instead of selling everything they build. The problem is they give more benefits, opportunities, and compensation to the corporate positions but not toZ the on-site positions. On-site is ridiculously misinformed and understaffed. They won’t spend a dime to the things that actually matter. Just very disorganized and all in all has created a negative atmosphere.

Pros

The ability to build relationships with all of the residents was my biggest pro of the job. Building relationships with residents made them feel comfortable to talk to you about anything, which opened up many doors on how to improve their overall experience in anyway possible. The rent discount was another pro I would mention.

Cons

Upper management was very poor in handling issues. We had numerous issues, both in regards to ethics as well as professionalism in the work place and our HR department as well as upper management staff ignored numerous employees tips as well as documentation regarding the matter. It would not be strange for our "property manager" to go missing for hours at a time. Often times without an excuse. Our office would be closed for hours at a time during peek business hours, strictly because he was the only one in the office and would leave. It was stated in our employment contract that we are to be paid out bonuses monthly, based on our individual leasing efforts, and we went 13 months without getting paid a bonus. This was another issue that was brought to upper management's attention, and was not resolved for roughly 5 months.

Oct 1, 2019 Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We want our employees to know that their priorities are our priorities. We recently hired a Vice President of Human Resources who has been intentional about developing the Human Resources department, although implementing change is always a process that takes time.
