Pros

What we do from a business standpoint is really meaningful- we help people! Everyone on the team is here to make sure members who use our benefit have a positive experience with our program as they seek medical care. This is a company where you can be recognized quickly for your contributions. The leadership team values hard charging people who put in the time and effort to help the company grow. Every department is expected to hit aggressive KPIs and bring top notch performance to the table. If you are up for the task, you can get promoted quickly. Grit is a company value, and one they very much look for in people that come to work here. Overall the people are nice to work with, and everyone works hard. There are a variety of employee engagement events going on throughout the year, and hybrid schedules are an option (though not if you are hourly- which seems pretty standard in the industry). If you are a person who holds yourself to a really high standard, you will do well in this challenging environment! If you are looking for a place to punch the clock and collect a paycheck, the company will expect more from you.

Cons

Like any company that is growing this quickly, people are forced to do more with less resources. Towards the end of the year, people can get more burnt out due to the demands of the job. Professional development can be hard to see for some, and not all managers have extensive people management experience. While there is a lot of change, that can be tough for some people (especially people right out of school or who have been with really large organizations), there is still so much upside here. The company is improving over time and creating better process while improving management and company culture.
