Pros

It wasn't all bad: Some of the people I worked with were nice. There were multiple microwaves in the breakroom, and the departmental Christmas parties were fun. The current CEO was not the CEO when I worked here, but he did work there and he was excellent.

Cons

There was no room to move up at this company. I was there for 4 years and in that time, despite excellent job performance and even taking on the slack of other coworkers, I was never offered a promotion, was ridiculed because of my age, and felt no investment in me as an employee. I was never offered professional development, never offered an opportunity to leave the office for any field work or enrichment, not paid as much as my fellow department coworkers who did not get as much work done. But other than those things, my contributions were not valued or appreciated and eventually I had to leave for the sake of my career advancement. There were opportunities offered to others my age that were just out of college, and most who had not been there as long as I had, but no one gave me the opportunity to prove my worth or skills.

Pros

There are some people at the company who are fantastic.

Cons

The president and senior management have a genuine lack of understanding of what is going on below them. They also depend too much on a mediocre middle management team.

Pros

> Strong benefits including solid 401k match, bonuses for most people in corporate, strong salaries (due to lean organizational structure), summer hours, competitive salaries, and $10K tuition reimbursement for all salaried employees > Due to lean structure, given a lot of responsibility and latitude to get the work done. People depend on you to do your job well & what you do really matters. > Within the changing world of CPG, Private Label is emerging as a key growth factor. While the company primarily markets juices, it's made efforts to expand outside of the juice aisle. Customers (retailers) are looking to develop their PL portfolios beyond value, so there's increasing opportunity to partner strategically in the long-term growth plans for key customers > Because you'll wear many hats, you'll also get the opportunity to learn a lot > Lots of opportunities for women to climb the ladder, but there is a glass ceiling at the upper reaches of the US organization.

Cons

> Location in rural NJ (could be a positive if you don't love traffic) > Top-down organization, a lot of "I'm the boss so do it" or "I have to ask my boss" mentality with limited effort to get away from this mindset- you will hit roadblocks if you try to break out of this mold > Highly process-driven with some processes that seem superfluous - sometimes people need to just figure it out and get sh-t done > Somewhat sleepy culture with limited bias for action > A lot of "this is the way we do things" approach to suggestions for new ideas > Very, very, very little diversity at any level in corporate
