Pros
Interesting technology. There's tons to work on and you'll get every opportunity to work on something you find interesting. If you like taking ownership of a project you'll fit right in. Company is very inclusive
Cons
Constant layoffs with upper management promising "this is the last one" and it never is. Engineers are stretched thin and the product that is delivered ends up not being the best quality. Compensation is pretty low. Make sure to get all the details on the benefits offered, the recruiter that hired me was vague and misleading on the benefits that are offered and it wasn't what I expected

Pros
- Everyone I worked with was excellent and talented - Managers, directors, and HR cares about career growth and mental health - Lots of exciting products to work on - Competitive compensation - Remote work is nice The people at Latch are the highlight of the company. I think the leadership team performed well in the first two years I joined. Back then we had problems every startup had but we managed to launch and sell products well enough. Luke knew each one of us and took time to chat with us. I felt that he cared a lot about culture, diversity, and inclusion.
Cons
Like many others, I got laid off. It's a tough economy for hardware companies right now, and there were decisions that could have been made better. Unfortunately, any bad decision is 10x worse when there's bad financial outlook coming up. There was too much confusion about roadmaps, our focus, and our org structure strategy. It seemed like there was a lot of politics within the leadership team.
