Pros
The health of the business is doing incredibly well. I believe the success of the company is largely due to Ryan's and Zach's leadership and disciplined focus on core and worthwhile opportunities. There are three large strategic opportunities that the whole company is marching towards on a daily basis, but there are probably 10+ good/other opportunities we could tackle but aren’t going to right now; this is smart and it's a testament to our leadership. On the personal side, the two co-founders are two of the most humble and genuinely good humans I've personally ever worked with. We have an awesome crew of dedicated and self-driven folks that come in everyday ready to win! Yes, there are internal disagreements and misalignments at times; this is par for the course at a high-growth startup. But, it isn't at the levels that get in the way of or slow us down from executing our company goals. We're like a high-performing sports team, we root for each other when we have success, and when someone needs to improve on something we let them know and support their efforts to improve. Not that there's anything wrong with a typical cannabis company (like a cannabis brand, manufacturer or dispensary), but our company resembles more of a tech company. We're b2b wholesale marketplace whose technology rivals that of non-cannabis b2c marketplaces you are probably more familiar with. We take pride in operating like a professional, fun, collaborative, and challenge-seeking environment. Startups are not for everyone and that is totally ok. I suspect some of the negative posts here are from those that have one way or another realized that this wasn't an environment they could succeed in and have then taken out their frustrations by writing negative reviews about LeafLink. This is just my guess. I've also been let go from a startup; it sucks, it stings. - Is the strategy solid at LL? 100% yes - Are the founders great humans and do I believe in their vision? 100% yes - Do we have the right employees to deliver the vision? 100% yes and we're looking for more people to help us get there.
Cons
Are there things we need to address internally (such as certain employee benefits and processes)? Absolutely, but like every startup, it's a matter of prioritizing what is most important at the moment and chipping away at it.
