Pros

Snacks in break room (when in the office), good experience gathering

Cons

Company is against remote work, want to keep an eye on you while you work, lack trust in employees, no room for growth within the company, minimal raises while the company does everything as cheap as possible. Most technical or development roles are either outsourced or based outside US. Any path toward self-growth or development is a humongous hurdle that deters you from even trying it.

Pros

Great company for an entry level position. Free healthcare. Pretty good work life balance.

Cons

There is no growth in the data center operations department. You are stuck at the same salary for years. It takes 6 years to become senior or upper level. Quick to let people go if they don't get their way. No promotions ever!

Leaseweb Response

Dear team member, We’re glad to hear that you enjoy our culture, perks and benefits. We strive to offer the best. As you are aware, there have been team members from your department promoted in much less than 6 years. Some have gone on to take a Project Management role, or take on a role in the network department, or to sys admin, or even relocate to another state to manage a data center. We have a vocational program in place specifically for your department with clear goals, training and growth, that could lead to a promotion. We facilitate as much as possible the career possibilities for all of our employees. For this we offer a broad variety of trainings, but you have to pick this up yourself. We hope you are up for the challenge and motivated to develop yourself into a more senior role. Our goal is always to promote from within when possible. Leaseweb believes in regular communication between the manager and employee. If a performance issue has led to termination, the employee has always been given a fair shot to correct the problem. Many conversations have taken place, along with a professional training opportunity to improve. We are very sorry to see that you are unhappy and encourage you to stop by our office to discuss this in person. We encourage you to continue working on the training plan you and your manager have discussed. Walter van de Waterbeemd, CHRO Leaseweb

Source for opportunity to learn and grow

Pros

I am with LeaseWeb for a couple of years. Since I started, I worked in four different roles, and as the company grew, my responsibility and impact grew. Even though it hasn’t always been a walk in the park, I have been extremely well taken care of. Hard work and dedication is often recognized and rewarded with either a handshake, a bonus, more responsibilty or even a raise. I feel I am part of a family. We reached great heights, and sometimes we go through a painful learning process. And although I can see at glassdoor how that can lead to frustration, I see the continuous change as a source for opportunity to learn and grow. What attracts me most is the uncompromising battle for quality, efficiency and a better product offering. That battle has its casualties. But I truly believe that - in this industry - if you don’t fight for shipping the best possible product, than what good of a service provider are you?

Cons

The companies growing and learning spurts are often painful.
