Money. Great place to work if you are looking to make alot of money.

Cons

Management sucks. No SOP's to speak of. Treats all employees as if they are expendable. Not a place for a seasoned supervisor or manager. Micromanagement leaves you wondering what you are there for.

Some good opportunities to reach low-hanging fruit for cost savings or new revenue

Cons

Parent co. neglectful of our plant and division, announced divestiture several months after I got there. Morale pretty flat when you know you're all on the chopping block.

The corporate office is big.

Cons

This company operates with a "stick and carrot" mentality. When you arrive at your carrot "performance goals," they then move the carrot once again. It's an endless cycle. You'll never be at that performance level to warrant a decent raise. Plan on about a 1% raise per year (if that).

We're disappointed that you had such a negative experience. While there are a number of factors that may affect compensation, we do agree with you that "favoritism" shouldn't be one of them. That's why we implemented performance reviews. We believe they make us a stronger company by adding concrete, objective goals to measure our individual contributions.
