Pros

Good earning potential if you are fortunate enough to have a territory with many loyal Leica customers. Otherwise, good luck selling instrumentation at a premium price point that is producing the same results as your instrument.

Cons

From the horrific training where all they seem to focus on is a brief overview of the product lines and then role play after role play followed up by hours of Microsoft Power Point training. The daily skills and methods for finding answers to questions and producing quotes were brushed by the way side. Not to mention, the CRM used is home grown, out of date and unable to perform the needed tasks.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The individual experiences you describe are unfortunately very negative. They clearly contradict our corporate values. As a team, we are dependent on having grievances addressed directly to implement necessary improvements. In addition to contacting supervisors, anonymous speak-up hotlines are available to all employees. We sincerely hope that you have taken up this opportunity, given what you have described. In our most recent employee survey, which was also anonymous, Leica Microsystems was rated positively in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and trust by a large majority of over 80% of the team. Our employees and managers work together to ensure a strong culture of inclusion and engage in open and honest dialogue to shape and continuously improve our culture on a day-to-day basis.

Pros

Goals are not in step with the market but if you can find a way to hit or exceed them you will be paid very well.

Cons

You are treated worse than a dog at this place. You might think these sites are a place that generates negative reviews for people to vent. But look at the overall ranking of various companies Facebook-4.5 Roche-3.5 J & J-3.5 Siemens-3.4 Leica-2.6 Danaher-2,4 This site does reflect quality companies. In Leica's case the only company ranked lower than Leica is the parent company Danaher. You need to do yourself a favor and walk, no run, if they come knocking with a job opportunity until the current management team is gone.
