Pros

Free food at the offices. Employee only events. Equity in the company. Giveback program is a nice feature.

Cons

Zero diversity when it comes to management and above. Most people of color are in the customer service department which is treated the worst in the company. No real recognition for those who work hard. Outright and mentioned favoritism to create “healthy” competition when in reality, creates a toxic work environment making many feel less than. Most legitimate complaints fall of deaf ears, lots of “thanks for you feedback, sorry you feel that way”.

Pros

- Lemonade has some of the best benefits in the industry - Overall company culture is great - Company model is cutting edge - Some of the best people I have ever worked with

Cons

- Pay is horrible. Furthermore, you are not eligible for a raise until your 2 year mark (If you're lucky enough to get the half percent they will give you.) For the rest of the world, inflation is a huge problem. From Lemonade's tone deaf management, as relayed directly to all of us, "Inflation is not enough to warrant a raise". (says upper management to those of us not even making enough to pay rent on a studio apartment). - While not disclosed with transparency, this is in fact essentially a call center/customer service position. - Being a claims champion is a totally thankless position. More responsibility is piled on each week, yet you will be treated as if you're dumb, unimportant, and basically just another body answering phones. - Morale is the worst I have ever seen across the board in the claims department. People literally are going on leave or quitting because of the health impacts due to stress and the hostile environment. - Upper management will lie to you virtually everyday. They will say anything to accomplish their own goals. There is no collaborating. They strictly want "yes" people. - Management has demonstrated ZERO interest in the champions. Example- in the last monthly zoom meeting, all three upper managers who attended were completely disinterested. 1 looked his phone half the time, while the 2 others sat on their laptops. At one point, a question was directed to them, and the manager had to be told the question because she had no clue what was even being discussed. - Management is ultimately hostile. They inappropriately gossip about the employees that report to them with other managers and even the person's peers. This creates a toxic work environment. - Lemonade will NOT invest in a mutually beneficial relationship with their employees. They have no interest in your career advancement or mobility within the company. - There are huge ethical and regulatory/compliance questions related to business procedures in the claims department
