- Fast paced, dynamic, high growth startup - Ability to work with strong sense of purpose and responsibility (no micromanaging) - Innovative business model, incorporating social good into company financial goals - Tight, close knit working environment - Brilliant colleagues you can learn from and inspire - Beautiful office space and perks

Cons

- Fast growth means constant change. Won't be right for you if having to adjust plans, processes, targets gives you anxiety - Insurance is still a regulated industry. Need to blend tech agility with methodical, compliant decisionmaking - Small, low headcount, high-impact team. You'll have full control over the work you do but will also be deep in the weeds. Don't expect to farm your work out to an army of interns and jr. colleagues.

Unmatched product and market potential

Pros

Classic tech startup, with open floor plan, hardwood floors, great Soho NYC office location (also Tel Aviv), rapid hiring, decent snacks. Interesting mix of high-energy younger teammates and experienced insurance experts creates a unique environment in tech world. Everything moves at Slack speed; when CEO launches a new concept, expect it to be reality within months, not years. Customers love the product and the customer support, more so than any company I've ever worked at; that goes a long way on tougher days. Product workflow is A+; no legacy code or slow upgrades. Merit wins; new team members can make a mark in very short time with solid commitment and delivery of results. Insurance market is huge and in desperate need of innovation, so no worrying about whether market potential is big enough. Founders (CEO and CTO) are both serious geniuses, lead by example, and actually like being with people.

Cons

Two offices on two continents with differing schedules sometimes means a 6-day work week instead of 5. Back office infrastructure (reporting, systems, dashboards) working hard to keep up with growth.

Amazing founders, the vision, and product are groundbreaking. The company is growing fast and really disrupting the industry. Management seems strong and in control, especially on the Growth and marketing side of the business.

Cons

Fast growth so many challenges in scaling and adjusting to new things. Not an easy industry to disrupt. Work-life balance is challenging, but after all that is a startup.
