Pros

There were zero pro's. They hired me at $78,000/year, full-time W-2 with benefits. It was a low ball offer since I used to make over $100,000/year before. I took the job in hopes that I would not stay at this salary and did not have many options.

Cons

- They harass, belittle, and threaten employees that HR did not want to be hired (through a recruiter/agency) - Toxic Culture. The Lead on my team threatened that I should not use the bathroom for bowel movements during work hours as it takes away from my amount of time at the desk. She specifically said not to. - The supervisor (not even manager) agreed with the Lead saying I should not be allowed more than 15 minutes in the restroom (yeah, right) and should make it as a part of my break (or whole break) - They monitor all the systems you access and if you are logged out for 15-30 minutes due to working on a task off the system, the team accuses you of not working even though you were - Biggest reason not to work in IT here: They regularly hire new workers full-time, and use them for the short-term and then lay them off because it's cheaper than paying higher rates (double the amount) for contract workers. This is to satisfy seasonal/periodical peaks of work and then once the work is done, they keep the seasoned/experienced/tenured people who have worked there over 5 years and let everybody else go. - They wasted an entire week of my time flying me to Miami, FL to do an orientation where I the "facilitators" were all sarcastic, threatening, and made inappropriate remarks about discriminatory things the whole week (such as saying, "SDI/State Disability is only for women who need to go on maternity leave, not for someone experiencing a health issue that requires time off. There was someone else who commented, "Why would you train a 'camel'?") - Last reason: Some director caught on to all this. I sat at the office every day while the lead multiple times on the phone told me about my restroom issues, amongst other nonsensical things. There were within the permanent Teams chat history messages from the lead and supervisor about all this nonsense and toxic culture. He decided it was best to lay me off and provide me a $19-20,000 severance. They ended up not providing any stub or remittance for the severance, and only paid $11,000. The maximum tax rate when yearly income cannot be calculated is 22% for Federal/State here. I was not paid my full severance. (Therefore, their NDA and anti-liability clause of the severance agreement does not apply). Guess what? That means there is no arbitration or mediation. If they have an issue, they would have to go through small claims to get their fake severance back, and the judge and clerk would laugh at the paperwork and throw it out before it even goes through. Thanks for the $11K. I'm going to be leaving this here for future "candidates".

Pros

Flexible schedule and helpful peers

Cons

Lennar is a good place to work if you want to be overworked and underpaid. They stretch you thin and then act confused when you’re overwhelmed and falling behind. Homeowners also use you as a punching bag and you have zero support from management. Also, if you give notice to leave, please note that if you did work a month prior that they ASK of you (you’re paid in arrears) and that you’re expected to do and hit the numbers you’re ASKED and REQUIRED to hit, you will not be paid for it. That’s considered a “bonus” and they use you for the work completed. I repeat, YOU. WILL. NOT. BE. PAID. so, the numerous walks scheduled and assigned to you that were completed now belong to Lennar. They don’t care if you have bills to pay. Do yourself a favor, READ THE FINE PRINT WHEN HIRED!

Pros

Our co-workers are good people that work very hard.

Cons

Everything is punitive. Our paychecks are dependent on the performance of other departments and outside under performing affiliates. This has created a hostile and fearful work environment.
