Pros

LRS is a very financially strong and has good benefits and 401K. There are several lines of business in the LRS corporation. LRS/IT Solutions is a well established division of the LRS portfolio that works with IBM Hardware, VMware and systems management.

Cons

LRS / IT Solutions decisions are made mostly from the headquarters without much employee input. Focus is on being an IBM only hardware vendor without being able to provide other best-of-breed solutions for customers.

Atmosphere of Mediocrity

Pros

Pleasant office environment, pleasant coworkers, average benefits

Cons

Company has lost vision and is stagnating in the technology landscape. CEO disconnected from the company physically, emotionally; Company wide atmosphere of embracing mediocrity; they always say they do not want "yes men," but that is exactly what they want. Employee ideas, new strategies, etc. are not welcome. Quality people do not stay long. Management is a group of "yes men" who care only about flying under the radar and not making waves to keep their jobs, and there is no structured method for staff to evaluate management. Benefits have been cut over the past decade, and salaries are stagnant -- all the while the company spends money on a funny car and 3 jets. There is a complete disconnect between the CEO and the way the company is being run.

Pros

LRS is a good company that takes care of their people. I've worked here for several years and have had great relationships with my manager and coworkers.

Cons

Sometimes things are a bit too compartmentalized between departments. There are some interdepartmental events, but a more strategic plan to do so would add value to both employees and clients.
