Pros

Good training, I would add quick promotion path but that's gone now too.

Cons

Insane metrics to hit as an SDR, maybe those metrics are realistic for 1 out of every 10 SDR's. Quota is overinflated across the board, from SDR to AE. Favoritism from leadership, you will miss out on opportunities and sales if you are not one. The senior leadership is the biggest issue with this company. The CEO is very uninvolved and the CRO micromanages from the top down. Their solution to every legitimate problem is "We need to raise the dial goal."

Pros

I made some great friends at Levitate. People I still see and talk with almost a year later. Free lunches, snacks, coffee, and beer on tap after 4. Friendly and inclusive environment, and the product is actually decent.

Cons

The cons are pretty much everything else. Metrics - insanely difficult to attain or exceed. Requires 130 cold calls a day minimum (almost double the industry average). Pay - a joke. Was told 45k and find out it was 40k. Commission is even worse. You basically need to book over 60 demos a month to come close to quota attainment. Also you can expect promotion metrics to change at a whim. The upper management is an absolute joke. Very little guidance, and no effort to keep talent happy. Very distant CEO who wont even look in your direction. “Unlimited PTO” is actually 5 days off with quota relief. Miss more than 2 days without quota relief, and you will fall behind. Overall, it’s a decent place to learn the basic skills needed for SDR type of work. But not a career company. Honestly just isn’t worth it

Pros

Pros are some of the managers. Some of them are encouraging, though definitely encouraging if you’re booking demos, and not as much on days you are not. The people who work at Levitate are great. I can’t deny that everyone gets along really well and it has a super inclusive environment. Your coworkers will be your best friends. Free lunch everyday is amazing, and health benefits are also great. Lots of free alcohol, if you’re a big drinker. Great experience- I mean you will never be afraid to talk to someone on the phone again after this job.

Cons

I worked here four months. Levitate will be your life. Unlimited PTO means only five days off a year that relieve you of your quota. You miss more than two days and you’re screwed. You have to make 130 calls a day- an absolutely insane amount. This means people rush through calls instead of actually taking the time to research leads (and would probably book more that way!). If you have a meeting scheduled in your day, you are guaranteed to have to stay later at night. Hours are 8:30-5:00 everyday. The metrics are pretty crazy, but then again, it is a startup. The worst part is the pay. Base is 40k for SDR’s- though when applying for the job you are told base is 45k (this has happened to multiple people). If your account executive doesn’t sell your demo, you make no money. You can book 50 or 60 demos, and only about 5 -7 will sell- and you’ll make no money from the ones that don’t. Account executives will prioritize their own bookings over yours, and they won’t follow up with your demos which screws you over. People walk out every single week. People who have been there 3 months are training new people- because most don’t last past that time.
