Pros

The pay was good, the benefits were great, the culture was amazing (paid volunteering days, diverse cultural celebrations at least every month I was there)

Cons

When I applied I was told training was weeks of class to learn the material and then you’d have a supervised work/probationary period. They then said that things changed, we’d be 1/3 trained to get some of the backlog out and then move on in training. They did 1 week of training and expected us to learn anything they didn’t teach us about our ‘easy’ assignments on the fly. There were buddies assigned to people, but they were assigned to multiple people and had to do their own jobs so answers weren’t guaranteed quickly. It’s made clear from the get-go that you have to meet their metrics to leave the probationary period. My speed metric couldn’t get up to their standards without sacrificing my nearly perfect accuracy. My supervisor mentioned something in an email two times about bringing it up to their standard. I got an email that said Training Update Zoom Call. I opened the call to my supervisor and HR rep and was fired in the next 10 minutes.

Low Cost vs Talent

Pros

Good benefits, remote work environment

Cons

The company has changed significantly with newest leadership to put cost above all else and eliminate long term employees in exchange for newer, cheaper talent. This environment went from teamwork, all work together to achieve a goal to watch your back, look out for yourself only. Very poor executive decisions led to loss of work to cause cost cuts, but guess who made those decisions and made sure it didn't come back on them. They're still there on retired on their terms.

Pros

Pay was greatly competitive, health benefits and 14 weeks of paid family leave is astounding, the PTO policy was also generous. SCCM is a nice tool for IT

Cons

intense micro-management, a lack of clear knowledge….be prepared to have every single question routed up to be given the run-around across the IT departments only to end up back where you started. It seems almost as if no-one really cares and complacency has been deep-seated across the firm. If it’s not a fire; it’s not a problem has been my experience
