Pros

Time-off, flexibility, DE&I environment. Liberty in the past has been a nice place to work, the future dynamic is a bit unclear, but the past has been nice.

Cons

Seem to overpromote unqualified candidates and undervalue tenured employees. Have begun to undervalue the high performers by siphoning bonuses and pay to lower performing employees to make the environment fair from an aggregate perspective. This has caused a fluctuation in the talent pool.

Pros

I joined Liberty from another major carrier three years ago. I have worked for several of our competitors in the past over my 17-year career and this is by far the best experience. The culture here is one where the company truly cares for employees. We feel engaged and enabled, and we have fun. I feel the work-life balance is by far better than any other carrier I have worked for. I also appreciate our open-door policy with leaders. Everyone is approachable, helpful, and transparent. Overall good benefits with a bonus plan, 401K plan, and a retirement plan.

Cons

Some of the UW systems are antiquated and need to be updated, and sometimes, it is difficult to get what you need from their systems. Risk Control just rolled out a new work management system in the Fall of 2023, so we have much better tools.

Pros

Has good time off available.

Cons

Senior leaders prioritize their own salaries versus letting employees go. Terrible insurance coverage. When issues are brought up, managers say they do not control that and nothing happens from there. Company ignores employee feelings when making decisions and mandates in office days.
