Pros

This 35 per cent discount. Friendly colleagues, always. An Hour and 30 mins Break. All black uniform. Discount in surrounding stores. Decent pay.

Cons

Rude and unprofessional managers. High turn over of staff. Favouritism. Constant change in the departments. Lack of staff means more pressure for you. Lack of information, sudden changes without being notified. Stress because of lack of people and unorganised departments. No communication. Racially Bias. Pay wrongly calculated on many occasions.

Pros

great location. Prestigious brand to work for that looks good on cv

Cons

lack of training for new staff. Intense cut throat environment where favouritism exists. A lot of bad talk about people in other departments makes you wonder what they say when you are not there. Low sales are always blamed on store staff, never the product itself. Management has zero patience and will throw you under the bus if you do not keep up with their ways. You need to be well established and highly confident to work at Liberty, anything less and you will not last. The lines are blurred between personal and professional opinions on you as an employee thus if you don't fit in, you're out. Iron fist management in head office.

Thank you for taking to time to review, its very disappointing to hear that the role and environment was not as you expected. We are take on board your feedback on training and have been working very hard over the last 18 months to deliver a great training programme and bespoke development programmes that were previously missing. Liberty is a very fast paced environment, and we do look for individuals who are driven, take ownership and are passionate about their chosen field.

No work life balance

Pros

Decent staff discount Good head office location & newly refurbed office

Cons

No work life balance AT ALL - working overtime is inevitable in most retail companies, however management do not acknowledge it here and do not show any appreciation. It is almost expected of you, and this has been the case especially during Covid where people have been working from home. Little to no progression. If you are unlucky enough to find yourself at Liberty, expect to be in your role for 20+ years Manager level staff are rude (not all but most) and don't care for their direct reports. Again, no signs of 'please and thanks', demanding and unsupportive.
