Pros

35% staff discount Brand new offices Nice IT tools available Some brilliant coworkers which somehow are still hanging about

Cons

You will work long hours, very long hours, sometimes including weekends. A lot of these will be spent filling up manual spreadsheets, as some managers are unable to use IT tools to their full potential. Don't make plans for the evening - you will be given EOD deadlines by 5pm, with vague guidelines, stretching your shift into every other night. Progression, learning and development, diversity and equality are non-existent, you will often feel isolated, overworked and unappreciated. Other than staff discount, there are no other benefits. If you look at their recent job postings, they list the roles' accountabilities and skills you must have, but don't mention what you would get in return - that's a clear reflection of what life at Liberty is like. This company is extremely top heavy, it feels there are more managers and heads of than assistants these days. Their culture is hiring staff who love Liberty as a brand, and get people to do everything and anything for it, even if it makes you ill. Diversity is so poor, it's reflected in their product offer. Limited fashion sizing, the hair salon staff don't have any experience with textured hair, respectable brands are ignored, to make space for businesses of those close to the buyers and managers - even if they make questionable products. The business have lost many knowledgeable, and exceptional staff in the past few months, especially in the head office. People are tired, miserable, and in desperate need of empathetic, truthful, and inspiring leadership. Management is in denial, blaming Covid for the current scenario, instead of taking accountability and working towards driving positive change.
