Pros

SOME nice people to work with. The rare ones are golden. You Become a family.. The good ones only. Security very protective over staff especially shop floor, when clients become abusive.

Cons

Everything else. Management are not trained properly. Walking around like headless chickens. Those given power abuse it. Stomp around telling people off for breathing too loud. Lazy people get away with everything. Especially favourites. Company policy never clear. Made up to suit themselves. Pay is ridiculous for all the rubbish you have to deal with. Need to sell your soul for bonuses that's not worth it. People steal your sales and get away with it. Product training is rubbish, do your own homework. Work overtime never get paid for it. HR are rubbish, if you have any issues... Forget about it. Never be resolved only get more stick for it as they tell managers everything so your job becomes 10 times harder. Working hours are stupid especially Christmas and sale time. Longer trading times there's more staff than customers. Lack of understanding/empathy for those with family's to look after. People call in sick because they've been partying all night long and High off drugs. Leaving others to do triple the work. Good luck 🐸☕️

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You highlighted a number of concerns you had and disappointing to see that you felt you weren't supported by the HR team. We take all allegations very seriously and although you might not see a direct response, they are all investigated and dealt with in the appropiate manner. Feedback from store teams has been more positive, and I hope if you are still with the business you have noticed these changes.

Pros

occasional staff sales or good discounts in store

Cons

poor benefits other than discount (holidays, sick pay, etc) no progression lots of lies from management and endless back stabbing circle of trust - if you're in it then you can do next to nothing and get away with it. If you're not in it probably they plan to (or at least they would love to) get rid of you.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We have listened to feedback about what is important to staff and have made a numbers of changes to our benefits. Including increased holidays and lifestyle benefits and refined the commision scheme so more employees recieve. We have also introduced the 1 day development programme to enable employees to gain insight into other areas of the business, build skills and networks. This is particularly beneficial for those employee's who want to work in a different field in the future, or move from retail to head office. We also advertise all our roles internally first, and encourage via personal develoment plans internal candidates to apply for their next job or promotion internally.

Pros

*fantastic product *fantastic department manager, womenswear *daily bread scheme *diverse, regular clientele--A-list celebs, fabulously wealthy foreigners, lovely 'normal' people making investment or special occassion purchases, serious holiday invites to customers homes abroad

Cons

*department managers stretched too thin to manage the shop floor properly *no 'supervisors', therefore no room for promotion between sales associate/brand specialists and assistant managers. *loss prevention very stressful and difficult to manage--invest in security team and stop blaming overwhelmed staff in understaffed rooms! *commission could be higher--but hey, that's London for you! 1% of your sales not worth it... *sale customers (no we are not getting it back in stock, it's in clearance and the end of season!) *little opportunity to move from shop floor into other departments like web, buying, wholesale, etc.

Thank you for your feedback. Its been quite some time since this review was written, we have invested in a new IT system and new tills. Along with a clearly defined structure in retail, including supervisors in all departments, robust job descriptions at all levels and clear opportunities for individuals to progress. Supported by the newly created department manager development programme and for Jan 2016 the new supervisor development programme
