Pros

The work can be interesting and satisfying, and camaraderie among employees is high. No pressure to take work home with you. Pay is fair for the area/experience level. Wonderful to be able to check out books for personal reading!

Cons

Career "ladders" mean it can be hard to advance beyond a pre-determined level of seniority/responsibility.

Pros

Being that it is the federal government it offers great benefits

Cons

You have to basically become a snitch in your office to get any type of raise they don't give you raises based on your work and they play alot of favoritism.
