Library of Congress reviews

The Library of Congress may be a great place to work for other employees who do not work in FD&C/ISS but you will not find a soul within this directorate who likes their job, especially in FD&C. There is no room to grow, no one likes their job, few actually do their jobs, and the ones that do are so burned out. Management is completely incompetent and hateful. No one takes accountability for what they do, so you as an employee spend most of your time running in circles to complete one task. All the Jr. Designers, Project Coordinators, and Sr. Designers are so demoralized by management (direct and upper) that actually using your brain is off the table. For the Jr. Designer position they like to over hire very talented people who have design experience for this position but it is very much an entry level position. The candidates do not know, however, because during the interview they explain it as a design position when it really is a maintenance position with very little design involved. People quite very often, so it is a very unstable environment. Although construction is high stress, the stress comes from the people you work with who are very ingenuousness and love gossip.

LOC depends on the budget passed by Congress so all the money depend on the political situation.
