Pros

you can't get fired. ever. amazing collections. a few amazingly talented and influential individuals to learn from. close to cap south metro.

Cons

the unspeakably awful security personnel. almost no one that works at LC is a librarian. almost no one that works at LC is even vaguely qualified to address and solve the problems presented by the disparate collections. the leadership void is entirely institutionalized. administration is absolutely pitted against all non-supervisors. the local employee union is your only safety valve as a non-supervisor. if you manage to tolerate working at LC long enough, you will become very familiar with your union representatives.
