Growth I never imagined!

Pros

I have been stretched in the best possibly way. Through this stretch I have found more flexibility, growth, and strength as a person and leader than I every could have imagined. I am continually pushed to grow and become a stronger leader, but never at the expense of me as a person. The relationships I have with people are work with are deeply meaningful. The mission and expectation of we are set to accomplish is clear, never wavering, and always in front of me.

Cons

This is a con with benefits. Relocation is a very real challenge that many people walk through when joining our staff. Relocation is often part of the process, and this can be a difficult step to walk through. However, this challenge has brought about growth in me and my family that we never expected.

Pros

Regard for family and time off. Clear mission and vision. I feel that my role has purpose and that what I do matters. I enjoy coming to work, and those that I do life with daily in the office. Leadership development/constantly growing.

Cons

Schedule requires working many nights and weekends. Can be a difficult transition for family. Can be emotionally draining (crucial conversations, volunteer leadership, funerals, difficult situations/calls)

Pros

Life.Church is not only a place where you can live out your calling to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ, but it is an amazing organization to work for. You are truly cared for as a person, and there are so many opportunities to grow and develop as a person and in your leadership. I love the people I work with - we have so much fun together!

Cons

To be successful at Life.Church, you must be humble, flexible, resilient, self aware, teachable. You also must have amazing work ethic, be culturally relevant, and have a sense of humor. If this doesn't describe you at your core being, then Life.Church is not for you. I have worked at Life.Church for a year and a half and I honestly don't have anything bad to say. I love what I get to do, but I will say that I have worked harder and grown more in the last year and a half than I have my whole working career prior. Life.Church stretches you, refines you, and pushes you to be better. That's not a con, unless you hate to be uncomfortable, and then maybe it is.
