Pros

If you live for helping people, there are lots of people you can help and feel fulfilled in doing so. Free membership.

Cons

Management pushes bottom line (money/sales) while preaching about building relationships, however does not allow the relationship building the time needed before applying lots of pressure for the sale. Commission only for personal training and lower management.

Pros

You get to work around empowering people who actually care about you as a person and want to see you succeed. You get to grow in leadership. You get to learn by making mistakes. And there’s room for mistakes. If you mess up, you’re coached, not judged. Great hours. They’ll work with your schedule.

Cons

It’s easy to get burnt out. Sometimes people leave. Turnover is higher in member services because it’s easy to get burned out. Member services is honestly the lowest paid department for the kind of work they require. If it weren’t for my amazing management and co-workers I probably wouldn’t have stuck around.
