Pros

Life Time is non-traditional in the sense you work in a large health club where you have a bit more freedom during your day to run your book of business how you deem most effective. Being able to work out while there is nice, as well as the constant engagement of clients and team members.

Cons

Zero work life balance. Putting in 50+ hours of work a week for a commission based job is less than ideal, especially when the market economy slows and even with the most innovative approaches business is stagnant. Upper management in my experience has consisted of narrow-scope practices that don't fit every situation and is resistant to change

Pros

Free membership and discounts are wonderful. I enjoyed getting to know the members who frequented the spa.

Cons

I worked behind the front desk at the Novi, MI location and after a few months of employment, I noticed a lot of beauty products were walking out the door. I happened to check the till from the previous night for a return and saw over $300 of makeup was rung in and zeroed out by a tenured coordinator during the previous evening shift. I mentioned it to the spa manager that day in passing and she was very defensive. She asked why I would report something like this if I 'liked' that coordinator that I should mind my own business. Her response made me feel as if was the problem rather than doing my due diligence in my role. I ended up calling the employee hotline as I wasn't sure what else to do. I'm not sure if anything came of the report but this manager and coordinator were later promoted and transferred to another location.
