Pros

flexible, supportive work environment. Managers are approachable, and have done the work of the line staff in the past, so understand the challenges. Regular pay increases. Encourage and allow regular attendance at trainings and conferences.

Cons

Clinicians have high caseloads and high productivity requirements, that are difficult to meet. Pay is reasonable, but not great, because it is a non-profit agency.

Pros

helping people who need it

Cons

low pay, bad benefits for families, excessive paperwork, infrequent supervision, lots of employee turnover, low morale. Not only do they hire people with diploma mill PhDs to be a supervisor, they terminate or lay you off over the telephone! Their middle managers and program managers make almost double what the front line clinicians make.
