Pros

I loved working for Lifepoint and hope to find a position at another facility if they dint ruins reputation. The rapport with all the Directors was excellent .

Cons

You are working during your first year and getting ready for Joint Commission and the department of health. Learning all the new policies for the facility and developing a wonderful rapport with the physicians. You get called to the HR department in the middle of the day and they say you are terminated for MISCONDUCT !!! I have never been terminated and would never display any type of misconduct . It was because I didn't complete a report in a timely manner. I was told I was informed how to complete it but I wasn't until it was too late. I would never trust the CVMC in Virginia if you take a management position ever I know that all Lifepoint facilities are not like that. The worst part was that they made sure I did not receive unemployment. I lost everything. I'm strong and will find a better place but wanted to warn you all out there.

Pros

Good operators in short-term. .

Cons

Low employee satisfaction. Multiple employee complaints about hostile treatment by management go unaddressed. Culture went downhill after HCA employees began moving in. HR and specifically OD management hurt the company.

Pros

despite how they are treated, there are some very caring people giving direct patient care.

Cons

From a leadership prospective there is no work life balance. If you aren't there, expect phone calls 24 hours a day to deal with every possible issue, including being called back for double, triple even quadruple, shifts because staff are out sick, (due to the stress they are under) What changed my opinion was I pulled into a meeting and challenged about my "dedication to the company" and spent the entire discussion talking about my transition out, After being floored that I was having this discussion after all the extra work I had put in, I handed in a resignation. After a long period, I was called in a short time before my last day and told that I would not be receiving my last check, and I was being demanded to pay back more money that I had received to come there in the first place. I would not accept another position within this company if it were my only option to continue in healthcare. I'd feel better about doing a good honest job like cleaning toilets and mopping floors to working for these thieves.
