Pros

The only Pro with this company is their E.S.O.P. Employee Stock Option Plan. They advertise it like crazy to all new hires to get them excited about the possibility of retiring rich. Be aware that you have to be with the company for two years working close to full time to get on their E.S.O.P. plan. Lifetouch has only seasonal opportunities, there is no work during the winter for most employees, therefore you will not be eligible for their E.S.O.P. plan.

Cons

Due to the seasonal work aspect of this company, most of their employees receive no Health Benefits. There are no paid vacations or Holidays. Their training program for new hires is insufficient & lasts one week. Management does not follow up with any in field support or on going training. Their scheduling department books 3 students per 10 minute time slot for each photographer at schools causing massive delays at the camera. Providing for lots of unhappy customers, dissatisfied school administrators and overworked employees.

Pros

They offer excellent benefits and retirement plan to full time employees. Health benefits are available for part time employees - expensive but available. Good sales training and many customers are a delight to work with. Company gives back to the community and has good, old fashioned values.

Cons

Account load can be heavy and there are many complicated details to providing the service needed and to land new accounts. Regional structure changes about every 5 years which offers challenges. Pay is not great but balanced with excellent retirement. Some customers are demanding and/or fickle.
