Pros

The chance to pick up new skills.

Cons

I was trained for 1 week. I had 0 former training. They put thousands of dollars of equipment in my hands then let me loose. I was hired for my home area yet they sent me 2-4 hours away. The office often would not call back if I had a snag or question. My immediate lead never got me my email account set up or send my pay check stubs to me. When I finally started to get my bearings they laid me off. I worked very hard 12 hour days and was getting compliments form schools I was in. But, they used me up and let me go. Now, they are late sending me my w-2's.

Pros

gas card provided paid for gas to all jobs and studio but not to home. using an online tool can benifit you if it says you get a lower mpg then you actually get. free pics and good discounts when employeed but not during layoffs. willing to work with your schedule

Cons

You only are suppost to get paid to go to the job site, which can be across the state, instead of one location all the time Early hours and long days with minimal breaks, if any. Schools do not always follow what you have on paper from office w-2 forms are not distributed until 1/31

Pros

Getting to make memories for families that will last forever. It was fun seeing the same children come in for portraits as they grew. It was nice doing something creative and getting paid for it.

Cons

Never having anyone there to help me during the busy times and holidays. Management's disregard for the opinions of their photographers. Website that allowed guests to schedule appointments every ten minutes which created upset guests at the studios. Very low pay. Being let go when they closed 266 Olan Mills studios after we worked feverishly for them during the holidays.
