Pros

Engineers are encouraged to work with autonomy within the larger meritocracy. Decisions and designs are largely data-driven and peer-reviewed. Complex backend systems at scale that interact with hardware in the real world make for some interesting problems to solve. Lots of opportunities as the business grows and scales. Remote work is great but can be lonely, so to balance things out teams will get together in person a few times a year.

Cons

Some engineers in North America have to contend with multiple time zones - meetings in the evenings and early morning with teams in China and Europe. Too many meetings, and too much time in front of a webcam.

Smart people, Amazing product. Overall nothing to complain

Cons

Teams aren't closely associated since its remote focused. The feeling of "I belong here" is missing a bit
