Pros

Was a good learning experience and working with the kids with different behavioral dynamics was very educational.

Cons

Pretty much everything. Disorganized scheduling, no coverage, working off-site is an absolute horrible experience, I had a coworker get robbed at gunpoint on her way to an elementary school in the morning. Off-site staff do not get any behavioral intervention training and have to learn to deal with children with severe behavioral issues without any support.

Pros

They give you good hours as long as you show up and make an effort. Solid pay for a summer gig. I really recommend this for early college students. This is much better than doing an upaid internship after your freshman/sophomore year.

Cons

For some reason, the majority of managers don't know how to make a schedule despite the fact that they know all of their clients' hours, as well as the availability of the staff. The program is also very strict on doing things the Lindamood Bell way. Their instructional method is unique and a great starting point, but they are ignoring the fact that education is most successful when customized. If you try to tailor to the students' needs, they will tell you to stop. The salary is also really low when you consider how much is being charged per hour.

Pros

The job itself is fantastic. If you really invest your time and talent on your student, then seeing them learn and flourish is a great feeling. Kids' energy and imagination can also be very entertaining

Cons

The way my center manages things, it's sometimes difficult to operate smoothly. So many unforeseen changes happen. People don't get as much hours as they really should, and some decisions are made without much foresight. People need to get organized and understand what's really going on.
