It's fulfilling. One-on-one work with kids, helping them grasp their first language, is special.

Cons

It's very fast-paced, and you have to follow a rigid formula of to-dos for each student, while also thinking on your feet to gain their respect and their attention. This is a hard balance for some people. One manager brings most of the pressure. (The others are more gentle, but can still give you advice along the way. )

Pros

This job provided an opportunity to work 1:1 with students of various skill level. The kids were fun to work with and we often had small celebrations for holidays/student acheivement etc. The co-workers are friendly and fun to work with as well.

Cons

While rewarding, it is exhausting to work with students all day. There have been some recent changes but the space itself sometimes made the work stressful (noisy, small space, needs cleaning).
