Pros

Get to work with kids, learn and instruct great techniques for education. great locations, and a well organized system for accessing materials

Cons

Very little regard for the clinicians' experience. Politicky, small company. Sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and it is essential to tow the company line no matter how it does not fit the individual. You must really regurgitate how these "techniques are magic" and they cure learning disabilities. Um no. You often have to work with kids that are totally discouraged and require the kindness and skill of a sensitive clinician to get them to put the work in. Period. That's the real magic.

Pros

Programs work! Great students, great colleagues. Great instruction leadership and staff supervision. Great operations.

Cons

Bad communication structure. Students can study online yet staff have to come to centre. Archaic management. Prefers “Yes “ people. not open to any ideas, spending way to much money on strange cult like ideas for design of centre, rent, student prizes etc. Staff is dispensable. The only staff that is safe are the ones who joined during the initial start of the establishment. Unqualified inflexible directors.Wouldn't suggest this place if your looking to settle. They are stuck in their own old ways . Centers compete with each other. This makes the climate toxic. Too stuck in how things used to work instead of looking at how to be flexible. Does not actually appreciate talent or hardworkers. No benefits. Zero job security

Thank you for sharing your experience with Lindamood-Bell. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed so much about your role at the learning center. We appreciate your feedback, both positive and constructive—changes are made based on input like yours. For example, we recently made adjustments to our staff recognition program and will continue to improve our communication in this regard. We absolutely want all learning center staff to feel appreciated for the work they are doing to change the lives of students. We strive to provide a positive work environment, treating all individuals with respect, offering sensitivity, and valuing each other. While we value your perspective, we notice descriptions that conflict with our employment practices. For example, eligible staff members enjoy traditional benefits packages, paid time off, health and wellness resources, and additional perks. Thanks again for your review. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. If you would like to share more about your experience, please contact the Human Resources Department at support.hr@lindamoodbell.com or (800) 233-1819.
