Pros

The programs work. Without a doubt. You work here and change lives - and it's an unbelievable feeling seeing these kids (and adults) progress way beyond what anyone expected to.

Cons

Literally everything else. These people are pure evil. Avoid them like the plague. Throughout the last year and a half of my employment I had to take a decent amount of time off. Unfortunately, often times it was due to doctors appointments becoming available last minute so I wouldn't have very much notice to give them. I get that as an employer that this isn't ideal - but I had diagnosed with cancer and was trying to work out my management and treatment plan. I was very open with management with what was going on. I still showed up everyday I could, and I still worked very, very hard. But I was constantly getting talked to and talked down on because of my situation. Not. A. Single. Ounce. Of. Sympathy. I kid you not - it was the most disgusting thing I'd ever experienced. Then, in the middle of all of this they decided to terminate my employment. Which forced me to lose my health insurance. While I was going through cancer treatment. How could ANYBODY with a soul do this to a person? It is beyond anything I can fathom. Every ounce of me wanted to pursue legal action. And, after speaking with multiple attorneys I knew I had a solid case. But, then, even something better happened. My inbox of my person e-mail (which I'm not even sure how it happened) started to get flooded with my parents and other professional's e-mails asking me where I went and what happened. Telling me how amazing I was, and how the place was falling apart without me. It was the best news I had heard in months - I didn't have to go after these people. The place is so evil that they are simply self distrusting. I didn't need to waste my time and energy going after them, they managed to do it themselves. I've never in my life wished bad things on others - but WHEN this company falls apart and shuts down, it's simply exactly what they deserve.

Pros

It's fun helping students and playing made up games, and if you're lucky your co-workers might be nice. You might be promoted if the manager likes you. The program is very effective for students, especially for the ones with good behavior and know how to follow directions.

Cons

You start off being paid 15-18 dollars an hour. You have to handle behavior, take notes, follow the program steps, give rewards, and try to have fun and be positive. The training is long and boring, and you won't get much out of it, the only training that will help is when you're actually in session and practicing with real students.

Pros

Some of the clients really do have learning disabilities that we can ameliorate.

Cons

Many of the clients have serious problems that cannot be solved by the program; management should be more honest with them instead of taking their money under false pretenses.
