Pros

Working with the kids is great, and it provides some solid educational experience

Cons

You will feel like a cog in the machine. As other reviews have commented on in the past, parents pay exorbitant, unreasonable sums of money to have undertrained college students teach their kids here. Neither party is compensated properly, whether in education or in payment--instead, most of the benefits go towards higher-ups who are completely out of touch with the employees on the ground. Also, the online educational system they use is TERRIBLE. You'll end up flipping between 7 tabs of different unintegrated websites with laggy software and quickly finding yourself exhausted from all the multitasking. Most kids don't learn effectively with online learning, either (as we've all become aware of following early-to-mid-pandemic education), and there are few tools to keep them engaged, or even just in the "session space." Little support and few resources in general for clinicians

Thank you for sharing your experience with Lindamood-Bell. We appreciate your candor though some of it is difficult to hear. Several descriptions conflict with our goals and practices. For example, we added research-validated virtual instruction in 2015—to meet the needs of remote students. We will continue to help students learn in person and live online. While the clinician role may not be a right fit for everyone, the positive effect of our approach on student learning should be evident. We are sorry that this was not adequately communicated during your employment. Regardless, research studies prove what we experience daily—one-to-one Lindamood-Bell learning center instruction is effective for students whether they attend in-person or online. We consider reviews like yours in our efforts to maintain quality and improve our communication. If you are willing to share more about your experience working at Lindamood-Bell, please contact the Human Resources Department at support.hr@lindamoodbell.com or (800) 233-1819. Thank you.

Pros

The kids, the methods of learning.

Cons

They seem to be desperate to hire right now as they contacted me regarding bonuses and increased wages. If you like doing this work and don't mind being worked out of your mind everyday, I would use that your advantage.

Thank you for sharing feedback, both positive and constructive. We consider reviews like yours in our efforts to improve communication. We want to clarify the purpose of our re-hiring program. Every year, we contact seasonal clinicians with information about current openings and any incentives that may be available. Returning seasonal clinicians are valued members of our instruction team; we appreciate their experience and knowledge of learning center protocols. We are sorry this was not clear. If you would like to share more about your experience, please contact the Human Resources Department at support.hr@lindamoodbell.com or (800) 233-1819.

Pros

The kids. The programs really do work when implemented correctly and honestly.

Cons

I wanted to stay at this company forever but the higher up I got, the more I realized how little they value their staff. The favoritism that has gotten people in executive positions is ruining the company. The incompetence and under qualification of the people making the big decisions is terrifying. It was hard to leave the kids but I couldn’t watch as me and my co-workers were underpaid, undervalued and overlooked. Very toxic work environment.
