Pros

Work whenever you want to work, pay is decent. They give you a variety of tasks which keeps it interesting.

Cons

They disqualify you from tasks without telling you what mistakes you made. Even if you email them asking for more information about the tasks you supposedly messed up on, customer service will not be helpful with you. No community in this company, unhelpful. Sometimes there are limited hours available and they don't give you any heads up when that will be. You don't get paid for any of the training. There are new tasks constantly, which I do like, but you have to study all the guidelines again without getting paid anything. It's frustrating to spend your own time studying, and then maybe work on this task for weeks, and then get disqualified all of a sudden and immediately instead of providing feedback giving you a chance to fix your errors. They should work with their employees on the first few tasks, coach them on what they're doing right and wrong. You don't get paid until after you've done a month of work, then you get paid once a month.

Pros

Prior to 2020, you could work whenever you wanted and tasks were usually available so that you could work the maximum each week if you wanted.

Cons

Lack of tasks - I was able to work 20 hours per week during my first 1 1/2 years of employment but starting in April tasks trickled down to one hour total per week. My terminated letter claimed that I was let go due to quality issues, however, the last scores I received were 96% and 98% (they stopped providing scores in March) so I don't believe that is the reason - I believe that they have more workers than tasks available but they don't want to pay unemployment so they won't admit that they are letting employees go due to Covid-19. Lack of communication: there were task shortages for 5 months and in that time all Lionbridge communicated to employees was to keep logging in and checking for tasks. I checked several times an hour, every hour between about 9 am and midnight, and often did not even get one task. Letting us know when tasks would be available would have been greatly appreciated.
