Pros

LWVI has clear expectations for employee performance, and like any employer, they hold those accountable who don’t meet them. The organization has a compelling mission, and it’s inspiring to contribute to such a meaningful cause each day. Compensation is competitive, with benefits on par with other employers I’ve worked with, and the PTO is excellent—we earn over three weeks of leave in the first year! We underwent an acquisition, and, as with any company in transition, we've faced growing pains that have left some employees frustrated. However, it's important to remember that change is necessary for improvement. I believe strongly in our mission, and our leadership is doing its best to guide us through these changes. After reading other reviews, I feel that some of them don’t fairly reflect the situation and come from a narrow perspective.

Cons

One of the drawbacks of working in a fast-paced environment is the constant pressure to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. The rapid pace often leaves little time for deep thinking or reflection, making it challenging to focus on long-term goals or consistently deliver high-quality work. This can be particularly difficult for leaders in certain departments who need time to strategize, plan, and provide thoughtful guidance to their teams. The fast pace can sometimes undermine the ability to lead effectively and make well-considered decisions.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We acknowledge that change can be difficult and we are still experiencing some growing pains due to the acquisition. However, we are striving for balance and happy that some of the changes have been for the net positive.
