Pros

Decent pay. Provided lunch once a week.

Cons

You never feel like your job is safe. No matter how hard you work or how good your attendance is, you worry that each day may be your last. They care more about keeping payroll down then to higher enough people to do the work. Way too much senior management that takes necessary money away from bringing in people to do the actual work. Also, don't get sick. If you are out due to medical issues you will find yourself in a different of or eventually without a job.

Pros

- Clean Office Environment - Free Small Lunches for Everyone on Saturdays & Sundays - 40 Hours of Sick Pay for Everyone After 3 Month Probation Passes - Wages are around $13-15 per hour depending on previous experience - Schedules are about the same every week so you can try to plan life stuff - Because of the weird new policies, everyone doesn't want to work so there's plenty of overtime available for part timers. - Long Training Period in the Beginning for Good Paycheck at Start - Business Casual Dress Code: Basically No Logos or Words on your clothing and cover up and you're set - Weekly direct deposit and supposed bonus incentives on meeting Key Performance Indexes (KPIs)

Cons

- New KPI policies means that you're not allowed to help Guests if the call takes more than 5 minutes otherwise you are in trouble for not performing to quantity over quality like they want you to do nowadays - Not many people get the KPI bonuses anymore due to super harsh quotas to meet - You will get notified constantly if your KPIs aren't within "acceptable" stats and they will criticize you about them instead of actually helping you meet their crazy standards - Expect a lot of promises to be made to you and the higher ups with either forget or ignore them if you bring up said promise to them - Managers & Leads aren't on the same page about policies so there's a TON of confusion on what the standard operation procedures (SOPs) are - SOPs are always being updated through emails but there's no real enforcement of making sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to do so there's lots of catch up work to clean up the mess made by other employees saying/doing the wrong things - Managers have favorites, if you're not one of them, you won't get the support you need to do your job right nor get any career advancement - Long Training doesn't mean you actually know everything you need to know to get the job done right as you start - Team structure means that you can't ask your other team Leads for help when yours are unavailable to contact - Slow office Internet speeds means that you're waiting a lot for the system to load the software you need to help Guests - Once you get attendance points, it now takes 6 months to get the off your record! When I was hired in as full time, it took only 3 months which is reasonable. - Once you use your 40 hours of sick time, you don't get anymore and doctor's notes don't help you if you get really sick for a long time - Weird temperature spots all around the call center; one desk may be freezing cold and the one next to it may be a bit warm. - A lot of the computers are old so expect there to be a lot of problems that you'll need to contact IT about - HR just tells you in a nice way that they're not going to do anything to help you and the problems that you see in the office are all in your head so you need to get back to taking calls because they make you feel like you're making stuff up but they're really just trying to protect the terrible higher ups - There are many in the office that have known for YEARS that certain higher ups shouldn't be working in Corporate but for whatever reason they will continue to be in their positions to continue the harm of going on working in a negative environment - Company will always tell you that the Guest Services Call Center is the backbone of the company but you'll feel like the lowest rank out of everyone in the company when you try to stay - When they opened up the new Texas store, they weren't ready for it in the Call Center because they decided to not open up a Texas branch to help take calls so the understaffed office is now being overloaded with even more work than before

Pros

Health benefits. Only for full time. Lunches on the weekend but they aren't so good. Hmm i can't say much else.

Cons

Constant drama between associates. Work harder than commission based jobs but no commission. The dangling carrot bonus. It's always just out of reach. Complete favoritism towards some employees. Management will do nothing to create a positive environment. All issues are looked over or swept under the rug. Drive sales and put so much pressure on guests. Crappy quality products lots of broken furniture on the sales floor. Sloppy employees and they seem to hire smokers. No breaks unless to just walk off the floor and don't ask. The constant badgering of management through a walkie in your ear to find a guest and sell them something. We get told how many cars are in the parking lot, they have counters over the door to count how many fur walk in and expect us to collect $200 from each guest. That includes babies in strollers and families. It's truly madness. Employees fighting with each other over sales cause it's so cutthroat to meet your hourly sales goal. If you can tough it out it's good for your resume otherwise keep looking. Just be ready for chaos and drama and nightmares that wake you all the time. Depression and anxiety will begin to rule your world.
