Great experience, not the best place to work
Pros
You really do get good experience/exposure to the international trade game, and the training they provide is second to none. I really enjoyed my co-workers, DIRECT supervisors, and feel like Livingston directly prepared me for my next step in my career. The benefits the company provides are not bad at all, and as stated previous the experience you get will open doors at other companies in global trade management. I would recommend young college grads and people looking to get into the industry working here for a few months to get the exposure you need for the industry, and then start looking for new opportunities.
Cons
The division that I worked with was big on micromanagement. There were daily stand up meetings were instead of focusing on fixing the problems of the organization as a whole, they micromanage the trade analysts. Senior leadership/management is very out of touch with realistic goals for the teams that are under them, and are not very involved with the daily activities of the team. Furthermore, the pay is CONSIDERABLY lower than other companies who do the same business. Global Trade Management has a lot of potential, and it needs to be capitalized and micromanagement does not create a culture your employees will embrace.
