Pros
Lockheed Martin has a lot of opportunity for experience in the Defense industry. They are incredible contracts and a very diverse portfolio to work on. This is a great stepping stone and learning experience.
Cons
Recently the company, making in excess of $40B, has started to cut a lot of costs through layoffs and benefits chopping. I understanding lowering costs and increasing profits to maintain a healthy stock price, but I'm not going to see the return of my retirement for another 30 years. Using the justification 'to be more aligned with the industry standard' isn't a company you can take pride in. I used to work for the company that was an industry leader when it came to benefits.
