By the time I recently left, it was: - A horrible dog-eat-dog type of environment - Several layers of managers and people who "think" they're managers that actual managers are afraid to put back in their place - Budget pressures felt companywide which caused: - extremely low morale - months of reorganization/ layoff warnings, again - managers to tell employees there are no more resources for training or additional opportunities - no more than 2% a year raises

They make you compete against other people in your pay grade just to justify not giving a percentage of the group no pay increase. Not even a cost of living increase. Their raises are small like 2 and 3% if you get one. The best way to get a decent increase is during negotiations for a new job. This company is the most afraid to make changes. If they have been doing it one way for a long time, you'll hear "we've been doing it this way for 50 years", even if it is the wrong way. They will do anything to get the product out the door on time.
