Pros

Fantastic and intelligent people Workforce development if you're in the right pipeline Cutting edge tech

Cons

If not in the right development pipeline, you can be those"lifers" Health benefits have gone from average to poor. One health plan available and you end playing quite a bit for it for so-so to poor coverage. Salary is the bottom as far as defense contractors go. From a friend, "You won't get rich working here but you won't be poor either" Promotions are hard to come by.

Pros

Lockheed Martin likes to take care of its own. When cuts start looming LM tries its best to ensure its employees have somewhere to go within the organization.

Cons

The pay is some what on the lower end of the spectrum when compared to some of the other large (or even small) contractors on the market.

Flexible work schedule, interesting line of work, invests in employees (I.e. training, tuition reimbursement, etc.)

Cons

Political performance review system, non-competitive salaries, unstable industry, horrible medical benefits, little room for growth currently, very low morale
