Good benefits
Pros
- Good benefits, e.g. 20 days of vacation (~160 hrs), flexible with time when you come to work - Pretty good pay - Can give a vacation notice pretty quickly - Flexible Time schedule (Useful for me as I'm doing my masters atm) - You can make your job either hard or easy depending on the tasks you decide to take. I personally like a challenge as I believe it'll make me a better engineer - I've learnt a lot and can use these skills for future positions within the company or with another company - Can pay for master program - The whole company here is very understanding with project delays as long as you're upfront about these concerns early on.
Cons
- Requires to be in office - There's both good engineers and bad engineers in every company. The mentality of the management is everyone's a winner so good engineers bonuses practically are the same to the bad engineers. The only benefit of working harder is getting promoted sooner. But I personally believe management should do more to incentivize all engineers to do a good job.
