Pros

- Get to learn a lot. - Have the opportunity to work on important missions.

Cons

Large, bureaucratic If you are a high-performer, you are better off working at a smaller company where you can have more meaningful impact. Lower pay compared to other software engineering roles in Denver.

Pros

Great pay and vacation, nice people, flexible schedule.

Cons

Long hours, difficult and unexpected deadlines, and although justified, the high level of security prohibits the certain use of software tools to make developers' lives easier.

Pros

The matching is great, and the work is cool. Good people to have fun with if you’re 25-35~ socially.

Cons

The engineering leadership at the company has a very poor idea of how to handle software jobs. Frankly, working at Lockheed as a software engineer is kind of like actively working for charity. The pay is awful, especially as you get into a mid level position. Performance based promotions are stupidly hard to get, but they’ll give people from other companies $50k starting bonuses. Makes sense, right?
