Generally very competent fellow engineers as coworkers, and kind and capable mentors among the senior engineers. Fascinating technology. Endless opportunities to learn. Good work life balance.

Cons

Incredibly bureaucratic policies and processes, and highly political managers. Relatively little room for career progression without going into management.

A managers first priority is to keep your salary low. Yearly increases are pitiful, in spite of excellent performance reviews. Their attitude is "there are 100 more people out there willing to do your job for less, so take it and shut it, or leave."
