      Lockton - Not the Last Best Place to Work!

      Benefits and Pay (401K, medical, etc.)!

      Cons

      Management! Company is run by the "inner circle" and they all have huge egos - starting at the top! Don't see this changing anytime soon. Emphasis set on "youth" despite the fact that the "seasoned professionals" are the ones doing the work and keeping the company going. What happens when the "seasoned" leave or retire?? No more niche shoppe that's for sure and nothing there that would attract and maintain key personnel that the other brokers in Houston don't have. Be careful what you ask for - it all comes with strings!!!!

      The Washington DC office is NOT Lockton!

      Pros

      The Account Management team that gives superior service and are technically superior.

      Cons

      The DC President has fired multiple producer's for his own personal reasons that had nothing to do with production. If you are a senior Benefits producer, I would recommend that you stay away. And that is before you see their "loan" salary package.

      Good Work Life Balance, Good Development

      Pros

      Lockton really does its best to make sure you have a happy work life balance. During busy season you may find yourself staying a bit later, but for the most part you are out by 5PM. The benefits are great, the company definitely cares about employees. There is ample opportunity to grow with the company. They invest heavily in training associates.

      Cons

      Pay is a bit lower than some competitors, seems like it is quicker to jump companies for promotions and pay raises.
