Best company to work for less than two years

Pros

Logitech is a good company if you don't spend more than two years of your life in it! You will get the chance to learn a lot about the different aspect of a business as it is small.

Cons

But! They don't care about your career path! Your salary! your growth! every 6 months they lay off 20% of their Newark headquarter and as they can't compete with Bay Area salary they try to hire more in Europe and replace!

"Sweet spot" -- only if you're Director level and above or in Design

Pros

I didn't get an exit interview so here's what I thought about Logitech: - Decent place to start a career if you're lacking experience. Logitech's current environment is collaborative and open so there may be opportunities to work cross functionally. But definitely start looking elsewhere after your first year mark, Logitech does not foster talent or promote within. - Great product discount, this includes their subsidiaries -- 50% off.

Cons

- There are no core values at Logitech. I doubt any current employees can answer what they are. - Compensation is not competitive at Logitech which is insane considering this is Silicon Valley. There is absolutely zero compensation philosophy in this company, you will not get any market adjustments. Most likely you will barely beat inflation each year. - Campus location in worse spots of the Bay Area. This is just not going to cut it if you're trying to hire talent or work with talent. - Work life balance does not exist in this company. Incompetent people managers shove work down their direct reports throats without trying to push back. There are many departments/areas that are not well-equipped to scale.

Great CEO but most managers are awful & unqualified

Pros

Decent pay, great benefits, PTO, good holiday time off and end of year mandatory shutdown to enjoy the holidays. Sometimes flexible hours, depends on your manager.

Cons

Old school mentality & legacy employees aren’t willing to change to make things better. Stuck in the past and not willing to try new things. Management in general is not qualified to be managing people but due to who they kiss up to...they are managers. HR is disorganized and chaotic and not there when you need them. Employees aren’t treated like they are appreciated by management and are supposed to be available 24/7 so there isn’t much work life balance (even though that is one of their selling points.) If you’re not willing to play the popularity game and expect your thoughts & opinions to be heard, they are not the company for you.
