It sounds like you are frustrated in your job, and I am very sorry to hear that. Fear shouldn't be part of any job, and high expectations should always be matched with great compensation. You rated 'Culture & Values' higher than anything else, so I hope you'll exhibit our 'Openness' value -- and trust me to do the same -- and come talk with me so we can ease your fears and address your concerns about compensation. We don't just want to compensate fairly, we need to -- particularly for 'current software developers' in this market!

I'm sorry you were unhappy with your experience at Logos. I know that if you were let go you probably think it was 'for no good reason,' even if we disagree. I can't change your mind on that, but I do want to respond to your accusations about our practices: We do not ask or tolerate anyone lying to or manipulating our customers. Honesty is our first corporate value, and we take it seriously. If you would like to email me about specific concerns or incidents I will investigate them personally. I want all of our customers to be happy with their investment in our tools, which is why we offer an easy, generous, money back guarantee. No one should ever be stuck with a tool they don't want or need, and our users never are.

Pros

Merit-based career advancement that favors fast learners with initiative. Honest information and feedback for those with the courage to ask questions. Cutting-edge software development on many platforms and languages. Great hardware, tools, and learning opportunities available for the asking.

Cons

Passive personalities may find it more difficult to get encouragement, training, and feedback. High expectations can be stressful (though managers are actually quite patient and not quick to fire).
