Pros

Great 401 and vacation time. There are a lot of exceptional people here.

Cons

Lots of layoffs, disconnected management Promotions are often given to people with no or limited qualifications, basically nepotism and yes "men" need apply. Management does not understand what the institution should be or how it operates on a daily basis.

Pros

Best professors, caring, professors are great to work with as supervisors. Casual atmosphere, location, I believe less pressure than public school. More room to make up incomplete courses,years if you like .

Cons

Nepotism, no growth , work load ignored, doubled and uncompenated , people in jobs that have absolutely no work and better compensated, human new resources officer throwing around power and hiring family members. Entitled culture. Clique culture.

Pros

Offers the benefits that you could expect at a large college campus. Gym, Library and theater are assets. Scenic campus with close proximity to NYC.

Cons

Part time employees are treated unfairly by the administration. No room for growth, the university seems less concerned with providing a quality education then it was in years past. Misappropriation of funds seems evident in some departments. Concern over expanding class size is resulting in combined classes which do not take into account the students needs, combining 100 and 200 level classes to ensure a higher student to teacher ratio is not a good way to educate students.
